It`s lunch time... plenty in the basket today! Chef Carl Warner`s best!

It is official!
There`s a new tag (label) on the picnic - FOOD ART.
When I saw this extraordinary photographer`s work, I immediately realize that I`ve discovered something really special!
It is not only that it looks nice. I say, It is about all the great things art stand for. All the reasons why I love art. - Creativity, Real Excellence, Understanding Of Color, Composition, Proportion... I could go on and on, but even on first sight an aristic mastery and real creativity jumps right out of the pieces, making you stop and really enjoy a real art by Carl Warner.

Now what do you think of that...????

POPULAR LIES ABOUT GRAPHIC DESIGN
Yes, I know - it sounds like a book cover title. Well, there is a good reason for that - it IS just that.
I`m not actually advertising the book, although I think It`d be extremely good. I`m advertising the idea, which inspired it - common myths about graphic design are often proven wrong, and yet hundreds of thousands designers are pathologically following them. Let`s take a peek, shall we?
The whole article:

Well... there is a controversial one... :)

No, actually now more than ever - you don`t!

Weirdly Thorough

Hi!
There is one piece that I like very much (on the inside), and I find it a bit weird. Why? Well, you don`t see very often designers go to such trouble for a simple invite. I totally enjoy the fact the designer totally got it out of freedom of thought. And the fresh feeling of the pop-up. And the shadows much alike those of a real building. And the clean, light look. And... well, I like it.
Design out of freedom! - that is the inspiration thought that I got out of this one. Have a very productive Friday!

When what you’re selling isn’t what you’re selling

A wonderful article I found on the David Airey blog. If you have 5 minutes to read it, it will be five minutes well spent. Enjoy!
When what you’re selling isn’t what you’re selling
What ARE you selling, after all???

The Most Important Question in any Creative Brief

I found this article on creative briefs, and I find it somewhat helpful... to clear your mind from the sea of not enough informed clients, who just throw all kind of useless info in the briefs. :)
So...

What is the best question to ask in a Creative Brief? If you were only given one question to ask a client about her business, what is the most important?
